中国共产党第二十次全国代表大会，是在全党全国各族人民迈上全面建设社会主义现代化国家新征程、向第二个百年奋斗目标进军的关键时刻召开的一次十分重要的大会。

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is a meeting of great importance. It takes place at a critical time as the entire Party and the Chinese people of all ethnic groups embark on a new journey to build China into a modern socialist country in all respects and advance toward the Second Centenary Goal.

大会的主题是高举中国特色社会主义伟大旗帜，全面贯彻新时代中国特色社会主义思想，弘扬伟大的建党精神，坚定信心，增强力量，坚持基本原则，开拓创新，锐意进取，团结奋斗，全面建设社会主义现代化国家，在各条战线上推进中华民族伟大复兴。    

The theme of this Congress is holding high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, fully implementing the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, carrying forward the great founding spirit of the Party, staying confident and building strength, upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground, forging ahead with enterprise and fortitude, and striving in unity to build a modern socialist country in all respects and advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts.

江山就是人民，人民就是江山。中国共产党领导人民打江山，守江山，守的就是人民的心。

This country is its people; the people are the country. the Communist Party of China has led the people in fighting to establish and develop the People’s Republic, it has really been fighting for their support.

十年来，我们经历了对党和人民事业具有重大现实意义和深远历史意义的三件大事：一是迎来中国共产党成立一百周年，二是中国特色社会主义进入新时代，三是完全脱贫攻坚，全面建成小康社会的历史任务，实现第一个百年奋斗目标。

The past decade marked three major events of great immediate importance and profound historical significance for the cause of the Party and the people: We embraced the centenary of the Communist Party of China; we ushered in a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics; and we eradicated absolute poverty and finished building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, thus completing the First Centenary Goal.

从现在起，中国共产党的中心任务就是团结带领全国各族人民全面建成社会主义现代化强国、实现第二个百年奋斗目标，以中国式现代化全面推进中华民族伟大复兴。

From this day forward, the central task of the Communist Party of China will be to lead the Chinese people of all ethnic groups in a concerted effort to realize the Second Centenary Goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects and to advance the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization.

经过不懈努力，党找到了自我革命这一跳出治乱兴衰历史周期率的第二个答案，确保党永远不变质、不变色、不变味。

Through painstaking efforts, the Party has found a second answer to the question of how to escape the historical cycle of rise and fall. The answer is self-reform. By doing so, we have ensured that the Party will never change its nature, its conviction, or its character.

新时代的伟大成就是党和人民一道拼出来，干出来，奋斗出来的！

The great achievements of the new era have come from the collective dedication and hard work of our Party and our people.

面对重重挑战，我们决不能丧失信心，犹豫退缩，而是要坚定信心，激流勇进。

Faced with many challenges, we must not lose confidence, hesitate or flinch. Instead, we must firm up our confidence and press ahead against all odds and obstacles.

冲出迷雾走向光明，最强大的力量是同心合力，最有效的方法是和衷共济。

To break the mist and embrace a bright future, the biggest strength comes from cooperation and the most effective way is through solidarity.

必须坚持科技是第一生产力、人才是第一资源、创新是第一动力。  

We must regard science and technology as our primary productive force, talent as our primary resource, and innovation as our primary driver of growth.

历史长河波澜壮阔，一代又一代人接续奋斗创造了今天的中国。

Wave upon wave, the mighty river of history surges forward. With the persistent efforts of one gneration after another, we have taken China to where it is today.

青年兴则国家兴，中国发展要靠广大青年挺膺担当。年轻充满朝气，青春孕育希望。

A nation will prosper only when young people thriving. For China to develop further, our young people must step forward and take on their responsibilities. Youth is full of vigor and is a source of hope.

路虽远，行则将至；事虽难，做则必成。

Long as the journey is, we will reach our destination if we stay the course; Difficult as the task is, we will get the job done if we keep working at it.

我们要埋头苦干、担当作为，以更加强烈的历史主动精神推进马克思主义中国化时代化，不断谱写新时代中国特色社会主义新篇章，奋力实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦。

For our part, we must forge ahead with resolve and take on more responsibility. we must show greater historical initiative in adapting Marxism to the chinese context and the needs of the times, write new chapters in developing socialism with chinese characteristics in the new era and strive hard to achieve the chinese dream of national rejuvenation.

道阻且长,行则将至。前进道路上，无论是风高浪急还是惊涛骇浪，人民永远是我们最坚实的依托、最强大的底气。

The journey ahead is long and arduous, but with determined steps, we will reach our destinations. we will not be daunted by high winds, choppy waters or even dangerous storms, for the people will always have our back and give us confidence.  

时代呼唤着我们，人民期待着我们，唯有矢志不渝、笃行不怠，方能不负时代、不负人民。

The times are calling us, and the people expect us to deliver. Only by pressing ahead with unwavering commitment and perseverance will we be able to answer the call of our times and meet the expectations of our people.

中国愿同世界各国一道，在开放中创造机遇，在合作中破解难题，携手创造人类更加美好的明天。

China will join hands with all other countries to create opportunities in opening up, tackle difficult problems through cooperation, and foster a brighter future for humanity.
